We Are STANDARDS-BASED
We use state standards as the framework for the content we teach. Use this link to find the standards in your child's grade level and content area.
We Are ASSESSMENT-DRIVEN
We use assessment to find out if our teaching was effective and to make adjustments to the lessons:
-
Formative Assessment: We use daily assessments to make adjustments to the instruction in the moment. Our teachers meet weekly with other teachers to compare these daily assessments to ensure the alignment and quality of the grade level instruction meets the standard.
-
Interim Assessment: We use a quarterly assessment to make adjustments to our instruction as a school. This assessment is called iReady.
-
Summative Assessment: We use yearly assessments to make adjustments to programming as a school. These assessments are called ACCESS and CMAS.
We Communicate STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
Preschool and Kindergarten: We use an assessment tool called TS GOLD to measure developmental progressions. Families will receive a report about their child three times a year in November, February and May. Individual reports will be in paper-form and distributed to families.
First through 8th Grades: We use a district-created report card that measures student proficiency and effort. Families will receive a report four times a year in October, December, March and May. Grades will be posted in Infinite Campus.
