Welcome to Del Mar Academy!

Del Mar Academy opened as P-6 school in 2023-24. We will add 7th Grade in the 2024-25 school year and 8th Grade in the 2025-26 school year. 

Why Our School Exists

  • Del Mar Academy is a new P-8 building located at 12445 E. 2nd Ave. Aurora, CO 80011, the former site of Lyn Knoll Elementary.
  • Three schools were underutilized in the Del Mar Park Region (Lyn Knoll, Sixth Avenue Elementary and South Middle School) and this school is the one building to replace those three schools.
  • This consolidation will save taxpayers money annually and also creates a single community school for the children living in this neighborhood.

School Hours & Bell Times

Grades K-7: 7:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m.
Doors open at 7:20 a.m.
There is no supervision prior to 7:20 a.m.
Office Hours: 7:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

Preschool Full Day for 4-year-olds

  • Mon.-Thu.: 7:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m.
  • No school on Fridays

Preschool Half Day for 3-year-olds

  • Mon-Thu. AM Class: 7:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
  • Mon.-Thu. PM Class: 11:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m.
  • No school on Fridays
